James Rodriguez agreed to Qatari club Al Ryan’s offer and the Colombian will join them on a three-year contract until 2024.
With this move, he will only leave European football after one season at Everton. Interestingly, PSG are still looking for the player and he might get a chance in France if he performs well in Qatar.
However, he will soon be announced as a new player Al Rayyan. All that’s left is to fill out the final paperwork between the two countries before the move is official.

The 30-year-old moved from Real Madrid to Merseyside on a free transfer. He is interested in Carlo Ancelotti and has had a great start to life in the Premier League.
However, injuries hampered his progress and prevented him from achieving the form he initially showed for the Italy coach. Ancelotti left Everton to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season and Rafa Benitez took over the club.
After the pre-season itself, Benitez decided that Rodriguez would not be part of his plans. Everton blocked the moves of Besiktas and Porto in the summer but have now agreed to allow the player to travel to Qatar to arrange a transfer.
Negotiations between the two teams went quite well and an agreement was reached on player salaries. He has not played a minute this season and will have his first half of minutes in Qatar in the new season.
