Bayern Munich ready to offer £200,000 for Heung-Min Son weekly wage

Bayern Munich are targeting a move for Tottenham star Heung-Min Son, according to reports.

The South Korea forward has scored 18 goals and registered 16 assists in 41 appearances this season.

Talks over a new Spurs contract have reportedly stalled with two years left on his current deal.

And Football Insider claim Bayern Munich are preparing to offer Son more than £200,000-a-week on a five-year deal to return to the Bundesliga.

Son enjoyed five successful years with Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, before joining Tottenham for £22million in 2015.

The report adds Bayern Munich could wait until next summer to attempt to sign the 28-year-old as he would only have one more year left on his contract.

Son could force through a move this summer, though, if Tottenham go another year without silverware and fail to finish in the top four.

Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb last month, but have a chance of ending their 13-year trophy drought when they take on Man City in the Carabao Cup final in three weeks’ time.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s men are three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table.

Son refused to discuss his Tottenham future during a press conference in February.

He said: “It’s a bit unfair to talk about a new contract at the moment, I am focused on the games and my team and that is the most important thing at the moment.

“I’m happy to be here and I’m working hard as a player and the team.”
