Thomas Tuchel was bound to make some changes for such an important game, especially after an embarrassing result at the weekend, and there are plenty of fresh faces back in the team.
Mason Mount got a rest against West Brom and he steps back into the starting lineup today. He plays with Timo Werner in the free roles behind Kai Havertz leading the line.
In midfield, the injury to N’Golo Kante means a Jorginho-Kovacic midfield is really the only option, while Ben Chilwell comes in for Marcos Alonso at left wing back.
It’s the back three that did so well until they were switched around at weekend – Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta. Let’s hope this three do a better job.
