Chelsea chief drops possible hint over Conor Gallagher’s future

Chelsea Chief Petr Cech says his position at the club will be very different next season after Conor Gallagher returns from loan.

The 21-year-old has distinguished himself in the Premier League this season and has shown tremendous potential on loan at Selhurst Park so far and has also been recruited to the England squad for the international game.

Chelsea fans will no doubt be delighted to see how far Gallagher has made progress, and Cech suggests that this shows the club’s current strategy is working. Gallagher may not be ready to play the blues on a regular basis this season, but Cech seems very pleased with his success at Palace and may have hinted that things could be different when he returns next season to Stamford Bridge.

The call to England was an absolute surprise for Connor, and his debut was even more special. This would never have happened if he hadn’t gone to Crystal Palace, introduced himself, stayed here, and probably didn’t play all the games.

“Once you start playing for Chelsea on a regular basis. It will show you the Premier League and what you can do and give you every opportunity to be selected. If you get the chance, you will get many benefits when you get a loan.
