Manchester City have set an asking price for Barcelona’s interest attacker

Manchester City and England forward Raheem Sterling is reportedly trying to reach an agreement that would allow the English footballer to extend his tenure at Etihad.

This comes from a recent Metro report claiming Sterling and his employer have kept their distance from contract negotiations despite ongoing negotiations. Now the dead end in the deal has forced residents to surrender, and now the club is ready to say goodbye to England star.

One of the clubs that really want Sterling is Barcelona’s La Liga Giants. Sterling’s contract with Manchester City is still 18 months, but it was decided that the citizens would be willing to sell him for £50m, the same amount Bayern paid former striker Leroy Sane last year.

Sky Sports Nigeria’s Verdict

Sterling has been struggling with timing issues on the flanks lately and has become increasingly limited as English Jack Grealish moved from Aston Villa earlier this year to make a record move. It cannot be denied that Sterling, who has played just three Premier League games this season, is well behind Pep Guardiola.

Raheem Sterling to leave Manchester City for Barcelona?

Having become an outstanding England player during a successful UEFA European Championship this summer, it is only natural that he hopes to play a more important role at his club. With recent reports that the player is unable to agree to the new terms, a transfer seems like the best outcome for both the club and the players. However, reaching a future deal may be difficult, especially with £50m Manchester City, as Barcelona are considered the most interested clubs. I don’t know how they were able to fund such a huge transfer fee, but one thing is for sure. If they can bring Manchester City down, it is clear that beating Sterling could be a bargain. The player is only 26 years old and has won 11 major trophies, including three Premier League titles, and his experience and talent speaks for itself.
