Jesse Lingard explains why the Manchester United attacking midfielder decided to combine with Cristiano Ronaldo celebration style after scoring against Andorra yesterday.
Most of 2021 following the transfer of Manchester United on loan to West Ham in the second half of last season. Lingard is now back at Manchester United to play alongside club legend Ronaldo this season after the Portugal player returned to Old Trafford from Juventus this summer and Lingard seems to want to make his new teammate a small gift to the team.
After scoring his first goal last night, Lingard basically attributed his trademark celebration to Ronaldo and was asked about it after the match.
Lingard told beIN Sports, quoted by Metro: “Mason and I were thinking about celebrating this week and obviously confused the celebration with Cristiano and said they would do it if I score a goal.”
This is a small long-awaited welcome gift for him. He will do it. to adapt very quickly and it will help the team a lot this season.
