It is reported that new owners Newcastle United have seen another proposal to acquire a major European club.

According to reports in Italy, Saudi Magpies investors are also gearing up to surprise Serie A giants Inter Milan while Marseille is another club seen as an alternative. However, Inter are in financial trouble so this could be a realistic option as their current owners could take up offers to sell faster.

Newcastle fans will no doubt be delighted to see such a big change at St. James Park at the moment, but it’s interesting to see that their investors don’t end there. It is possible that Newcastle and Inter could develop a fruitful relationship in terms of player deals as a result, but it is not clear if doing so could harm the Premier League in any way.

Most notably, the owners of Manchester City also have control over clubs like New York City, Melbourne City, Girona and others, so maybe Newcastle and Inter will join the franchise with a new look.
