(Video) Solskjaer confirms how long Varane is expected to be out injured

Manchester United will host their toughest rival, Manchester City, in the Premier League this weekend.

The Red Devils will step into the long-awaited derby after picking up one win and one draw in their last two matches. Elsewhere, the Citizens, led by coach Pep Guardiola, will be desperate to get back on track after a shock 2-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace last weekend.

The scale of this weekend’s play speaks for itself and Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must find a way to handle a difficult draw without using defender Rafael Varane. Having picked up an injury in his side’s Champions League group game against Atalanta in midweek, the France international is now expected to be out for several weeks.

“Well, with all the technology, you now expect him to be out in four or five weeks with the scans we’ve taken and the photos we’ve seen of him,” Solskjaer told reporters at a scheduled news conference.
